#glassbeadplay is a modification of the term coined by Herman Hess in his novel, The Glass Bead Game. Why choose glass beads? Because glass beads reflect each other in a multitude of images. Why #glassbeadplay and not #glassbeadgame? Because play is more freeform, less stressful, and is not associated with time, whereas games follow specific rules which include time limits and end with clear winner(s) and loser(s).
