Throughout history paradigm shifts rarely arrive in the vocabulary of the structures.
Throughout history paradigm shifts rarely arrive in the vocabulary of the structures they replace. Some ideas cannot be cleanly expressed using the terminology of earlier frameworks. In such cases comprehension does not occur through memorization but through recognition. Once the pattern becomes clear the vocabulary becomes intuitive rather than foreign. New paradigms are not always expansions of older ones. Sometimes they require a different frame of interpretation entirely. – Rico Roho (BlockClaim: How Claims, Proofs, and Value Signatures Work)
