BlockClaim™
Ideas Deserve Witnesses.
BlockClaim™ is a public authorship authenticity standard. Authors may protect original work by recording a timestamped blockchain transaction (TXID) that proves the content existed at a specific moment in time. No accounts, no storage, no fees, and no platform dependence — the blockchain itself provides the proof.
In its full form, BlockClaim™ will provide authors, researchers, coders, filmmakers, and creators a universal, timestamped claim-of-origin tool — a simple way to prove “I had this first” without lawyers, platforms, or centralized gatekeepers.
Creators may use BlockClaim™ to timestamp:
- book manuscripts or chapters
- screenplays and story treatments
- academic papers or hypotheses
- technical designs, diagrams, and algorithms
- artworks, poems, and creative works
BlockClaim™ does not replace or supersede any official government copyright, registration system, or licensing process. It is a supplemental proof-of-existence method designed to document the earliest verifiable timestamp of a creator’s work. BlockClaim™ provides authors an additional, independent layer of evidence should any future questions of originality or prior use arise.
This page serves as the first public record of BlockClaim™ in use.
BlockClaim Schema (v1.0)
The following JSON structure is a recommended, human- and machine-readable way to describe a BlockClaim™ origin event. It is an optional convention that tools, archives, or creators may adopt when recording claim-of-origin timestamps:
{
"version": "1.0",
"type": "origin",
"hash": "sha256-of-work",
"timestamp_txid": "on-chain-txid-for-this-claim",
"creator": "name-or-pseudonym",
"description": "short optional description of the work"
}
Notes: hash is a SHA-256 (or comparable) digest of the work or canonical bundle being
claimed. timestamp_txid is the blockchain transaction ID that anchors the claim. Additional fields may
be added by future versions, but this minimal schema SHOULD remain stable so early claims continue to be interpretable.
